Citrix network was hacked for the 5 months
Hackers were accessing Citrix's data from the breached networks between October 2018 and March 2019. The cybercriminals accessed sensitive information about current and former employees. In March 2019, Citrix announced that intruders have stolen over 6TB of sensitive financial and employees personal data. Their latest report reveals that the cybercriminals had access to enterprise's networks for more than five months.
In the latest Citrix's press release they revealed that the cybercriminals were accessing the data through the breached networks between October 2018 and March 2019. During that time, hackers had removed files with sensitive information from systems. Files include information about the current and former employees and data related to beneficiaries.
The cybercriminals exfiltrated sensitive personal information about current and former employees. The stolen information included names, social security numbers and financial data of the employees.
